Our Goals

The Social Ministry Committee puts Christian faith into action by serving people in need, promoting justice, and easing suffering. Members extend compassion and help to the ill, aged, and all in need of aid. It oversees Community Outreach Projects of the congregation and enlists member participation in carrying out these projects. The Ministry Leader is Michelle Rinderer.

Food Pantry

The committee maintains and runs the Food Pantry. Members keeps the congregation updated as to the needs of the Food Pantry. Current needs are posted in the weekly bulletin, on the church’s Facebook, and in the YouTube Livestream. Donations and volunteers are always welcome.

Members prepare a Jesse Tree and collect Christmas gifts for families in need.

Summer Service Project 2026

The Social Ministry team collected items for the Confidence Closet at Bayville Elementary School. The Confidence Closet is primarily for students who are from 10 to 12 years of age. The items collected included sweatshirts and pants, socks, girls’ personal care items, reusable water bottles, snacks, and school supplies. Thank you to all of the church members who made a donation!

Thanksgiving Baskets

Members collect, organize, and distribute Thanksgiving Baskets to local families facing food insecurity.

seasonal gifts crystal lake
Seasonal Gifts to Crystal Lake Nursing and Rehabilitation Center

Members assist in collecting and delivering seasonal gifts, such as Christmas and Easter, to the residents of Crystal Lake Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
