Worship & Music Committee
This team plays an important role in seeing that the services of God’s house are conducted regularly and in accordance with the polices and liturgy of the ELCA. The team assists in: planning worship opportunities; providing hymnals and music supplies; arranging for care of paraments, vestments, and musical instruments; decorating and preparing the church for festival services and; recruiting and training competent ushers and worship assistants.

Acolytes
These young people, 7th grade and up, receive training and are assigned by our volunteer scheduler. Acolytes assist the pastor during the worship service. The Ministry Leader is Marva Farrington.

Altar Guild
These men and women prepare the church so that the congregation can worship with ease and dignity by taking care of the worship space, linens, parchments, pews, and vestments. They also prepare for Baptisms and Holy Communion. The Ministry Leader is Karen Rinderer.

Assisting Minsiter
Lay persons are part of the priesthood of all believers. This is demonstrated by their participation with the pastor in leading the liturgy and prayers, helping the pastor prepare the altar for communion, and assisting in distributing communion to the congregation. The Ministry Leader is Marva Farrington.

Bell Choir
An English handbell choir brings special music to our worship services. The choir rings once a month in church and at all festival services. Rehearsals are on Monday evenings at 7:00 pm. The Ministry Leader / Music Director is Barbara D’Ippolito.

Lectors have the opportunity of expanding their participation in the celebration of Holy Communion by reading the first and second lessons. The Ministry Leader is Marva Farrington.

Music
The Lutheran Church has a rich tradition of music in its worship liturgy. At St. Paul, many opportunities are available to give glory to God through the gift of music. The Ministry Leader / Music Director is Barbara D’Ippolito.

Sunday School Choir / Krystal Bells
Church School children ages 3 to Grade 6 receive music instruction as part of the Sunday School curriculum. Children perform at all Youth Services, Christmas Eve, and on other special occasions.

26th Annual Bell Choir Festival
Our Bell Choir performed at the 26th Annual Ecumenical Bell Choir Festival, hosted by Ocean Classic Concerts, and held at the Presbyterian Church of Toms River. We have been a part of this celebration since its inception.

Ushers
Members serve roughly every 6 weeks as part of a team to: greet the congregation; distribute bulletins and materials for children; receive the offering; record attendance; direct the congregation to the altar for communion; alert the pastor to special needs of communicants and; know the location of large print materials, first aid kit, oxygen, aids for the hearing impaired, and walkers. The Ministry Leader is Marva Farrington.
