Managing Financial Health to Support Our Mission and Ministries
Finance Committee

Annual Operating Budget
Members oversee the preparation of each committee’s yearly spending plan. This includes the church’s support for ELCA National and Global ministries. The spending and income plan is presented to the congregation for approval at the Annual Meeting. The Ministry Leader is Bob Mikulicka

Financial Monitoring/Audits
The committee reviews monthly income and expenses to adhere to the planned budget. Members prepare regular reports for leaders and members. They work with the church treasurer and counting team to track weekly offerings. Members identify differences or shortfalls.
The committee also oversees annual internal audits to maintain honest and clear bookkeeping.

Insurance
The committee is responsible for maintaining adequate insurance protection for the congregation’s property and for loss due to liability claims.

Money Counters
These dedicated members meet on Mondays to count and record the weekly offering. The Ministry Leader is Michelle Rinderer

Protecting Assets
Members manage church investments, savings, and reserve funds. They recommend safe cash-handling and accounting rules to prevent fraud.
